about me

As a freelance musician living in Germany, i’ve performed with many professional orchestras and chamber music ensembles, as well as various contemporary-music and jazz groups and have led many of my own musical projects.

Until recently, i held the position of instructor for jazz trombone, improvisation, combo and big band at the Hochschule für Musik in Detmold, Germany,
teaching there since 2009, which i thoroughly enjoyed. during my time away in 2021/22, i felt a strong desire to take a clear step towards fulfilling my own artistic goals and am now completely free to follow this path!

I curate an online forum for improvised music, “Discovering Improvisation“, as well as the channel, „Just Great Music“ on the Telegram platform and am very interested in furthering my understanding and approach to performing and teaching improvised music. 

I am a Conn-Selmer artist and perform on the Vincent Bach 12 (1963 Mt. Vernon), Conn 88H and Conn 72H trombones.
